You may be blind and don't know it. And the odd thing is, you can still drive a car and hold down a job that requires visual skills.

Spiritual blindness affects too many people. They just don't know they're supposed to love Jesus and live for him. It's the least they can do for God who became man and was crucified for my sins.

Christians can talk about Jesus all day long, but it will take the prompting of the Holy Spirit (and your open heart) to help you see why you need Jesus.

Talk to Jesus, a person you don't believe exists. Are you that addicted to the not-so-everlasting things of this world that you'll spend a lifetime rejecting the only being in the entire universe who can get you into heaven?

Why are you blind? God in his Word says you are trapped by your blindness. It's only by the Holy Spirit that you can be enlightened to spiritual truths. Ask the Holy Spirit to lend you a hand. Look at these verses.

"Now we [believers] have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man [maybe that's you] does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one."
1 Corinthians 2:12-15

"I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness."
John 13: 46

"As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins.."
Ephesians 2:1

"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ."
2 Corinthians 4:4

The Holy Spirit can help you out, primarily by convicting you of your sinful state and drawing you to Christ.

"And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you." John 16: 8-14

"So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts . for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."
2 Peter 1:19-21
