What's Your Excuse?

How Jesus Stacks Up Can You Trust the Bible?

People have been resisting Jesus for 2,000 years, so that's nothing new.

Maybe you thought a church made a big deal about money, or a pastor said the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Maybe you've been the victim of some vile physical or mental abuse and you're angry at God.

Or perhaps you're simply wondering why God would allow so much suffering in the world.

Some people don't even trust the Bible. Rather than believe the creator of the universe could handle the formation of the Bible, they figure imperfect men wrote nice messages on their own. To learn more about the Bible and why it can be trusted, we recommend these resources:

Answers in Genesis Ministries Intl. Q&A

You may simply believe you've sinned so bad that God or Jesus would nothing with you. Maybe it's drugs, a sexual disorder or a vicious temper.

The fact is, Jesus offers the free gift of Salvation to anyone who wants it. You don't need money, a college degree, a perfect life. He just wants you, your heart, so he can work with you to become more like him. The Bible doesn't say our sins distance us from Jesus. He reached out to sinners. He died for each of our sins. Saying you're not worthy of his grace, the Salvation that he offers, is like saying your horrible sin possesses more power than the finished work Jesus did on the cross. Nothing you can say or do can ever topple the ultimate sacrifice that ensures eternal life for those who hunger and thirst.
